Breaking Barriers, Building Community, Shredding Together
Unified Shredders is dedicated to building a vibrant snowboarding community that embraces diversity and inclusivity. We're all about making snowboarding accessible to underserved youth, empowering them both on and off the slopes. Through opportunities and resources, we're shaping a more diverse and equitable snowboarding landscape where everyone can thrive.
Unified Shredders is on a mission to unite the youth communities of Denver and Grand County, opening doors to diverse experiences for all. In Colorado, hitting the slopes shouldn't be reserved for a select few based on their wallet size. We're breaking down those barriers, crafting positive outdoor adventures for youth previously left out of this community. Through curated experiences that boost overall well-being and athletic prowess, we're carving a safe space where every youth's story is heard and celebrated.
Unified Shredders is proud to announce that we have been awarded a generous grant from the Fraser River Valley Lions Club! This grant will play a pivotal role in supporting our mission to provide mentorship and snowboarding lessons to underserved youth in Grand County. Thanks to the Fraser River Valley Lions Club's commitment to our community, these funds will be used to cover essential program expenses such as equipment rentals, transportation to and from the mountain, necessary snowboarding gear, community events, and meals for our participants.
This partnership will allow us to ensure that financial barriers never prevent youth from experiencing the transformative power of outdoor recreation and snowboarding. Together, we are shredding barriers and fostering an inclusive and empowering environment for the next generation of riders. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Fraser River Valley Lions Club for their support and dedication to making a lasting impact on our participants and their community.
March 2025
Winter Park Resort
During February participants from West Grand High School progressed quickly from the learning area to hitting the slopes. They showed resilience and passion for snowboarding and quickly gained confidence and skills. We are excited to be back on slopes this March participants will continue to receive personalized instruction to ensure everyone is progressing a their own pace. We are so excited to continue to see growth in both personal and snowboarding skills from all of our participants.
Huge thank you to Winter Park Ski and Ride School for providing Unified Shredders with lift tickets, rentals, and lessons for the 2025 season!
2025
This season, Unified Shredders has empowered local youth through mentorship and snowboarding, providing mentorship check-ins and five on-snow days at Winter Park Resort. Our participants are gaining confidence, resilience, and technical skills, proving that access to outdoor recreation create life-changing opportunities.
As we look ahead to next year, we want to expand our programming to serve even more youth, but we need your help! Your donations to our Colorado Gives Foundation will allow us to increase the number of students, add more snow days, and provide essential mentorship opportunities.
Join us in shredding barriers and building futures - donate today and be part of the movement.
