Breaking Barriers, Building Community, Shredding Together
Unified Shredders is dedicated to building a vibrant snowboarding community that embraces diversity and inclusivity. We're all about making snowboarding accessible to underserved youth, empowering them both on and off the slopes. Through opportunities and resources, we're shaping a more diverse and equitable snowboarding landscape where everyone can thrive.
Unified Shredders is on a mission to unite the youth communities of Denver and Grand County, opening doors to diverse experiences for all. In Colorado, hitting the slopes shouldn't be reserved for a select few based on their wallet size. We're breaking down those barriers, crafting positive outdoor adventures for youth previously left out of this community. Through curated experiences that boost overall well-being and athletic prowess, we're carving a safe space where every youth's story is heard and celebrated.
Unified Shredders is proud to share that we have once again been awarded a generous grant from the Fraser River Valley Lions Club!
This year's funding will provide vital, safe transportation for students from West Grand to Winter Park, ensuring they can fully participate in programming. Access to reliable transportation is essential in breaking down barriers for students, allowing them to engage in mentorship and snowboarding experiences that build confidence, community, and lifelong skills.
This ongoing partnership ensures that financial or logistical challenges never prevent youth from experiencing the transformative power of outdoor recreation. Together, we are shredding barriers and fostering an inclusive and empowering environment for the next generation of riders.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Fraser River Valley Lions Club for believing in our mission and making a lasting impact on the lives of our participants and their community.
Unified Shredders is excited to announce that we have received a grant from the Grand Foundation!
This generous support made it possible for us to purchase a 12-passenger van, ensuring consistent, safe, and reliable transportation for all of our participants. With dependable transportation, Unified Shredders can expand opportunities for youth to access mentorship, community, and snowboarding at Winter Park Resort.
The Grand Foundation’s investment directly strengthens our ability to remove barriers for underserved students in Grand County, helping us deliver meaningful programming that builds self-efficacy, resilience, and connection.
We are deeply grateful to the Grand Foundation for believing in our mission and helping us create lasting impact for the next generation of riders.
In Year Two, Unified Shredders is growing from 5 to 20 students, expanding out mentorship-based snowboarding and skiing program to serve even more students. Our mission remains the same, connecting underserved youth with the transformative power of outdoor recreation, positive peer connection and long-term mentorship.
To support this growth, we are fundraising to:
